Security Training
Level 2 Door Supervisor training course
This course equips individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to work as a door supervisor in various settings, such as pubs, clubs, retail, and events. The training typically covers topics like legal aspects of the role, conflict management, physical intervention techniques, and emergency procedures.
Course Content:
The curriculum typically includes:
- Principles of working in the private security industry.
- Working as a door supervisor, including behavioral standards, civil and criminal law, searching procedures, and arrest procedures.
- Conflict management skills.
- Application of physical intervention skills.
- Health and safety in the workplace.
- Emergency procedures.
- First aid training
First Aid Training
First Aid at Work (FAW) course or a First Aid at Workrefresher/requalification course
First Aid at Work (FAW) Course (3 days):
- This is a comprehensive course that provides the skills and knowledge to deal with a wide range of first aid situations in the workplace.
- It is suitable for those who have no prior first aid qualification or whose certificate has expired.
- The course covers topics like dealing with unresponsive casualties, CPR, bleeding, burns, and various illnesses.
- The qualification is valid for three years.
First Aid at Work Refresher/Requalification (2 days or less):
- This course is for individuals who already hold a valid FAW certificate and need to renew it.
- A requalification course (2 days) is typically taken before the certificate expires, while a refresher course (1 day or less) is recommended annually to maintain skills and knowledge.
- The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strongly recommends that first aiders undertake an annual refresher course, even if their certificate is still valid.
- A requalification course can be taken up to one month after the expiry date, but after that, a full FAW course may be needed.
Annual First Aid Refresher:
- The HSE strongly recommends that first aiders refresh their skills annually, even if their certificate is still valid.
- This can be done through a short refresher course or an eLearning module.
- Annual refreshers help ensure that first aiders maintain their practical skills and stay up-to-date with any changes in procedures.
